One more time...  After seeing the sheath for my knife, my son wanted to make one for his.  We spent about an hour last night making one together.  In addition, I modified mine to make the belt loop larger.  Here are the pictures...

I had a crummy week so it's back to tinkering in the basement for therapy.  I started back on the knives since my mandolin is out getting a new nut made for it.  Here's the latest...

I've got it all glued up at this point.  Can't wait to see how it sets up.  I'll do a little buffing on it tomorrow.  A good sharpening and it'll be all done.

I've got a couple others waiting in the wings.  One is another antler knife and the final one will be birch bark.  Here's what they look like so far...

For whatever reason, whenever I see someone's pictures of their mandolin, it's always outside leaning against a tree.  Just to satisfy that unwritten apparent requirement, here ya go...

I'm done for now.  I've polished the mandolin using Meguires show car glaze. Apparently this is the thing to use. It's looking good. Got some strings yesterday and got it all strung up.  I'm real pleased with the way it turned out.  It sounds great too!
